How Informed Delivery Works

  • After signing up, USPS looks for incoming mail and captures their images during the process.

  • Customers can get an early email notification containing the package’s grayscale image and other tracking information.

How to Sign Up on USPS Informed Delivery Login

If you wish to avail of the USPS Informed Delivery Service, then you need to sign up on the USPS Informed Delivery login portal. Here is how

 

  • Navigate to the official website of informed delivery USPS portal.
  • You will be asked to enter your address and zip Code (the area must be eligible for the service), and your mailbox must be uniquely coded.
  • If you are eligible to avail of the Informed delivery service in your area, you will be invited to create an account with a unique username and Password.
  • Now that you have created your account, you need to verify your address through a mobile phone or the USPS sent mail containing the code, that you need to enter to confirm verification. Which they can verify by sending a text message on your phone containing a unique one-time code.
  • After that, you have completed the above steps, and the list of eligible post offices where you can verify for informed delivery will be displayed to you. Enter the address of your nearest post office.
  • Once done, click on “Continue to in-person verification”.
  • A barcode will appear on the next screen, which you have to show to USPS officials. The same barcode will be sent to your email, that will be valid for 30 days.

 

After completing the procedure, it will likely take two to three days to kick in the Informed Delivery service you want.
