The third act of Baldur’s Gate 3 is where the most important decisions can be made, which can have very important results for the player and their party.
There are a lot of options in Baldur’s Gate 3, a role-playing game, which is split into three parts. There are some choices in Baldur’s Gate 3 that don’t change the story much. But others can ruin the player’s journey. Because act three is the final act of the game, the decisions the player makes during this part of the game can have a big impact on the game’s final outcome.
A lot of players might be shocked by how many more quests they need to finish in Baldur’s Gate 3. After finally getting to Baldur’s Gate. But these are by far the most important decisions that players still need to make.
Saving The Prisoners In The Iron Throne
One of the three main bad guys in Baldur’s Gate 3 is Enver Gortash, who has locked up both the player’s friends and the friends and families of the Gondians who work for him on his Steel Watch. In Act Three, one of the many tasks that players can do is to find where these people are being held and hopefully set them free. At first glance, this may seem pretty easy. Since some players may have already helped the Tieflings and Ironhand Gnomes in act two. However, this job is much harder than the first one.
The quest is hard enough as it is, but saving these people will make the player an enemy of Enver Gortash. These changes mean that his Steel Watch will attack the player right away. Which can make it hard to explore Baldur’s Gate. Gorath probably won’t bother players for most of their journey as long as they don’t go near the Foundry if they decide not to free these people.
Allowing Astarion To Ascend Or Not
In Baldur’s Gate, many of the characters’ quest lines come to an end. These quests usually have pretty simple options that players can choose or just let their friend choose. For Astarion, things are different because he will finally meet his master again and stop being afraid. But this choice isn’t as simple as letting Astarion rise; players also have to think about the moral problem and how Astarion will be after it. Players have two main choices when their partner quest is over: they can either let Cazador rise and become a new type of vampire that can walk in the sun, or they can just destroy him and stay a Vampire Spawn.
Yes, becoming an Ascended Vampire sounds cool and gives you a lot of cool powers. However, Astarion is forever changed, and players may not like how he treats them. Being a Spawn saves lives, and Astarion’s life is also saved because he finally realizes he doesn’t need that power.
Agreeing To Truce Gortash
The player will be stopped and probably locked up as they try to cross the bridge to get into Baldur’s Gate before they can even get inside. The next Steel Watch the player sees after this will tell them that Enver Gortash himself wants to talk to them. He’ll offer to help the player and himself make peace. If the player agrees to go see the Chosen of Bane.
When making this choice, players may want to take the high ground and just attack Gortash. Even though they may be outnumbered and Gortash has the help of his Steel Watch. They could also agree to side with him, which would let them explore Baldur’s Gate without any problems. There is still time for players to betray Gortash, but now they have more time to get ready.
Using The Astral-Touched Tadpole
This is most likely the most important decision that people will make in Act Three. They will be put in camp for a long rest after leaving the Shadow-Cursed Lands. During the night, Githyanki will attack, and the player will have to run to the Astral Plane to help their Dream Guardian. This is where the player finds out that their Dream Guardian is really The Emperor, and after helping them, they are given the most powerful gift: an Astral-Touched Tadpole.
The final levels of the Ilithid powers a player can use might be unlocked by this tadpole. If a player has been putting off using the Tadpoles, they can easily tell their Guardian that they don’t want to use it or just destroy it. While those who have been using Tadpoles may have a harder time because while it gives them more power, it also covers their character in veins for good, which some players don’t like.
Becoming The Chosen Of Bhaal
Only those players who chose the Dark Urge Origin at the beginning of 8 Ball Pool will be able to use this option in the final act of Baldur’s Gate. As the story of BG3 went on, players were given chances to fight the urge or give in to it. This helped them learn more about themselves. By the time the player gets to the Third Act, they may have finally found out that their character is a Bhaalspawn, which means that they are Bhaal’s child.
After beating Orin, the player can choose to stay loyal to Bhaal and do what he says. Or they can try to become their own person and refuse to be Bhaal’s Chosen. As long as the person stays true to Bhaal, they can change into their Slayer form. But they will never really be free of him. Also, people may find an even more interesting story if they don’t follow his rules.
Destroying The Foundry
As we already said, the Foundry is where Gortash traps many of the Gondians and makes them work on making his Steel Watch. Which are huge robot suits of armor run by brains. Taking down the Foundry is the right thing to do. Because it stops the Steel Watch from watching the streets and might also free the Gondians who are being held there against their will.
Ignoring the Foundry, on the other hand, is like ignoring the prisoners in the Iron Throne. It keeps players in good standing with Gortash. Because this is one of the main quests that involves the game’s three main bad guys. It’s important for players to pick which side they support.
Freeing Or Leaving Orpheus
Baldur’s Gate 3’s story will show players that The Emperor can only keep them safe by using the power of Gith’s son, Prince Orpheus. Lae’Zel is furious when he finds out about this, and he tells the players to free Orpheus. So that Lae’Zel can either side with Orpheus or destroy him, based on what he thinks.
In act three, the players finally find a way to free Orpheus from his ball jail. But this might not be the best idea. People who free Orpheus might get a new friend, but they also run the risk of turning into Mindflayers. Since this is the only thing that can stop them from changing. On the other hand, the player and their friends can keep their bodies the same. If they leave Orpheus alone and let The Emperor eat his brain when the time comes.
Destroying Or Controlling The Netherbrain
The Netherbrain, the game’s true enemy, is the final option available to players in Baldur’s Gate 3. The Netherbrain wants to start the Grand Design of transforming everyone into Mind Flayers. It thinks it can break free from control when all three stones are together. So the player and their friends must fight the final battle before they can make this choice.
It will start to beg for its life once the brain is weak. The Netherbrain can be eliminated here, or players can possibly abandon their friends and take the brain and its power for themselves. This is the players’ final choice of the game. Even though shooting the brain is the longer and maybe even better finish. It can be fun to be in charge sometimes.
